RichePet Brand Story

Hi there! I’m Lisa, an ordinary pet parent trying to keep up with two extraordinary roommates:

Rico – a 9-year-old Labrador whose knees squeak louder than my hardwood floors.

Cherry – a fussy ginger cat who chews cardboard for fun and scratches anything that smells like cheap plastic.

1. The Head-Scratch Moments

I bought Rico about a dozen beds: some were paper-thin, others stank of chemicals, most warped after one wash.

Cherry’s toys? The so-called “non-toxic” balls cracked in days and left fuzz all over her whiskers.

Worst of all, an “airline-approved” travel bag wobbled so much Rico threw up mid-trip.

That day I muttered, “Seriously, can’t someone make pet gear that actually works?”

2. A “Why Not” Decision

I’m an industrial designer by trade, so I quit my job, emptied my savings, and started haunting fabric markets.

After six messy months of testing memory foam and plant dyes, I hacked together a machine-washable leather collar. My friends’ dogs modeled it, my feed exploded with “Link please!” messages—and RichePet was born in a 2019 midnight launch. (Yes, the name hides a nod to Rico.)

3. Three Simple Rules We Live By

Good Stuff Only

Food-grade silicone, OEKO-TEX® fabrics, plant-based dyes—if it’s safe for babies, it’s safe for pets.

Design for Real Life

Beds with zip-off covers that survive the washer; travel carriers with solid base boards so the subway ride doesn’t feel like a roller coaster.

Fair Prices

No gold-plated gimmicks. Spend where it counts, skip the fancy fluff.

4. Where We’re At Today
